We are the legal specialists for teachers.  Both barrister and solicitor available to offer help and support every day.

Our firm is approved by the Bar Standards Board and our expertise is sought by the main English teaching unions.

First we listen and understand.  Then we advise, guide and represent our teachers.  If necessary, we fight for their legal rights.

Help with your regulator

Much of our work involves defending teachers and headteachers at risk of prohibition by the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA).  We are the most experienced law firm in this field.

We also represent teachers before the Education Workforce Council in Wales (EWC) and the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS).

Support in your employment

The first resort should be to your union, as they have local expertise and can accompany you to internal hearings.  If that fails, we can advise on the merits of your employment dispute

If a settlement cannot be agreed we can make the appropriate claims to an Employment Tribunal.

Barring and disclosure advice

Teachers facing DBS minded to bar decisions and police information disclosure often benefit from our representation in this sensitive and specialist area.

We also assist teachers appearing before inquests, inquiries and other court processes, but we do not provide criminal representation.

If you are a teacher in difficulties we may be able help.

Get in touch for initial advice in complete confidence.

As we are very busy helping other teachers, we do ask that you email us a summary of your situation along with your contact details and any key documents.  One of us will then respond as soon as we can.

Lawyers for Teachers is part of The Reflective Practice.  Both are trading names of TRP Limited, a law firm authorised and regulated by the Bar Standards Board.
