Help with your regulator
Much of our work involves defending teachers and headteachers at risk of prohibition by the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA). We are the most experienced law firm in this field.
We also represent teachers before the Education Workforce Council in Wales (EWC) and the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS).
Support in your employment
This is not our main area of work and we have limited capacity to help. The first resort should be to your union, as they have local expertise and can accompany you to internal hearings.
If that fails, we may be able to advise on the merits of your dispute and what is involved in pursuing a claim with an Employment Tribunal.
Barring and disclosure advice
Teachers facing DBS minded to bar decisions and police information disclosure often benefit from our representation in this sensitive and specialist area.
We also assist teachers appearing before inquests, inquiries and other court processes, but we do not provide criminal representation.
